Ab Aaron Abernathy is a piano-playing soul singer from Cleveland, Ohio. Abernathy comes from a long-line of historical pioneers including Civil Rights Leader, Reverend Ralph David Abernathy, and student of the same high school music program as the late great Gerald Levert. He joined the ranks of artists like Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack as a graduate from the prestigious music program at Howard University, where he sharpened his vocal abilities and musicianship by majoring in jazz piano, becoming entrenched in the D.C. music scene. 

With outstanding talents as both a pianist and a vocalist, Abernathy has served as Musical Director for global touring acts Black Milk and Slum Village, and collaborated with Grammy-nominated artists including Jack White, The Foreign Exchange, Marsha Ambrosius, and Eric Roberson, among others. 

Abernathy presents his trio for this intimate show. 

He's joined tonight by Houston-native Jack Freeman. Freeman is an American singer and songwriter with a voice and a message of love. His sultry yet smooth style has been honed by artists such as Donny Hathaway, OutKast, John Legend, D’Angelo, Bilal, Chaka Khan and Scarface Jack Freeman Performing live as a winner at the 2016 AXE/Spin magazine “Find Your Magic” Show at SXSW just to name a few. 

While looking up some of the industry’s greats, Jack has also had the opportunity to open for the likes of Bilal and John Legend as well as Anthony Hamilton, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Brian McKnight, PJ Morton, Phife Dawg and Tito Jackson. And most recently contributed to the soundtrack for Spike Lee's 2017-2018 TV re-make of the cult classic film, "She's Gotta Have It." 

TONIGHT, Jack lets us hear songs from his brand new album, "Define Love," produced, in part, in collaboration with R&B favorite Bryan-Michael Cox, for the first time, live in NOLA. 

Louisiana sweetheart DJ Ally BEA dances us into the wee hours. 

Two live sets, plus an afterparty.
