Big Easy Brawlers with special guest Aaron Benjamin

BEB

Brass and footwork: Ashton Hines and company masterfully blend New Orleans street brass with funk, soul, hip-hop and footwork. This ain't your granddaddy's second line.

The Big Easy Brawlers are a unique band that reflects the New Orleans music scene. The band's sound is continuously evolving as they keep up with the changing pop music landscape. What makes the band unique is the complexity of musical changes with a solid principle, have fun. From dance routines; epic solos to crowd surfing; comedic competition to motivation speeches, even on an off night these guys will play 'til you can't walk straight or the bar shuts them down.

This "band without a genre" was started by leader Lord Ashton "RedBull" Hines. Ashton is a young trumpet player who also plays drums. Ashton has played in and lead many of New Orleans young brass bands and has played in a host of traditional brass bands and New Orleans funk bands. Now his goal is to step out on his own and do something new that takes all he's learned over the years from brass band, marching band, church, jazz, gospel, hip hop and all other genres of music and mix it all up into a big gumbo pot of musical joy. Even though Ashton has only been playing trumpet for a couple of years he's ready and he's looking forward to the years to come with The Big Easy Brawlers.Check him out and be sure to let him know what you think. He loves feedback and criticism but we know and guarantee you will love Lord Ashton Hines & The Big Easy Brawlers.

The Brawlers are joined this session by Aaron Benjamin. Fired in the furnace of the Motor City and steeped in the Big Easy heat, Aaron Benjamin redefines the sound of classic vinyl. Powered by overdriven guitar riffs, interlaced with soaring vocal harmonies, and fueled by the raw force of New Orleans brass, Aaron Benjamin is a new voice in Rock n Roll

Myron Thomas  -Keyboards/Vocals
