BLAZELIKEFYRE presents:

HOODRAT TO HEADWRAP Live! with Ericka Hart & Ebony Donnley

hood

A Decolonized Podcast for lovers on the margins. Join your resident sexuality educator Ericka Hart and Deep East Oakland's very own Ebony Donnley, as we game give, dismantle white supremacy and kiki in the cosmos somewhere between radical hood epistemological black queer love ethics, pop culture, house plants and a sea of books.

Light an incense to this. #nigchampa #hrhw #theblackpoweredpodcast

Ericka Hart (pronouns: she/they) is a black queer sexuality educator, writer and activist whose work is helping shift ingrained cultural modes and attitudes on chronic illness and posits visibility as a sociopolitical stance, one vital to any radically inclusive progressive movement toward equity. From framing desire and pleasure as political to dismantling the ways that systemic patriarchy and anti-black standards of beauty affect our everyday lives, her work is a part of a larger conversation on healing that at once analyzes and challenges institutional barriers to care complicit in the perpetuation of illness through the experiences of marginalized communities, specifically queer and trans people of color. She is absolutely committed to empowering students to make a difference in the world and with each other, opening up robust discourse that connects sexual health and wellness to the systemic issues at the root of social injustice, helping students at over 20 colleges and universities across the country this past year alone discover actionable steps to confront those issues powerfully.

BLAZELIKEFYRE is an independent production company focusing on live music and event curation, promotion and media production. Founded by Blaze Edwards, BLF's mission is to produce memorable, inclusive events which attract diverse people through unified shared experiences.
