Soul In The Horn with Natasha Diggs, DJ Rashida, and D Prosper

For well over a decade NATASHA DIGGS has been digging deeper to provide the soundscape for parties across the globe in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Sydney, Beijing, Prague, Los Angeles and Berlin.

A record enthusiast and collector from her teenage years, Diggs started her journey as a DJ with the acquisition of her first set of turntables at age 17. Since then she has gone on to play at some of the hottest parties and alongside some of the best DJs and artists in the business. As a resident of New York City's premiere all-vinyl 45 party, Mobile Mondays!, Diggs has become a force to be reckoned with and one of the most sought-after DJs in the world. Whether she’s playing all vinyl or Serato, Natasha’s deep knowledge of music has enabled her to rock diverse crowds around the globe and on any given night her sets might dip into hip hop, soul, funk, latin, rock, house, reggae, afro-Brazilian, disco, and beyond.

PRO$PER JONE$ is an Uptown New Orleans hip-hop artist whose witty, vibrant approach makes him one of the city’s standout MCs. He’s also an award-winning producer and semi-finalist in the national Beasts of the Beat showcase. Locally, he’s taken home gold three times at the New Orleans SoundClash beat battles and won the Baton Rouge Champion Sound producer showcase four times. As a collaborator, he’s worked with GRAMMY-nominated rapper Rapsody as well as New Orleans artists Pell, LG, ze11a, Paasky, Erika Flowers, Sol Galeano, Big Easy Brawlers, CoolNasty, and many others.

In his early 20s, PRO$PER was a member of the hip-hop group New Renaissance, an outfit conceptualized by renowned New Orleans visual artist Brandan “B-Mike” Odums. Mentored by Mos Def (now known as Yasiin Bey), the group opened up for Rakim and Lupe Fiasco.

Citing Basquiat, Angela Davis, and Tupac Shakur as some of his inspirations, PRO$PER aims to motivate through art. As he describes it, “My goal is to motivate and inspire, while simultaneously turning the fxck up.” As with many New Orleans musicians, PRO$PER JONES is immersed in the history of jazz and soul music, a pastiche which informs his own sound. In May 2018, PRO$PER released his first solo single, “Sittin’ Low,” followed by “Fontainebleau,” in June 2018.

DJ RASHIDA has played her signature fusion of hip-hop, funk, soul, dancehall and house around the globe at music festivals , concerts, & private events. Already in love with music she bought turntables in 1998 and fell in love with the mix.

In late 2004 after playing what would be the first of many parties for The Artist, Prince approached her about collaborating. Soon after, (and for the next 10 years) she would tour the world with the superstar, spinning as an opener on many tours as well as at his private parties, special events and performing live with him on shows such as The Tonight Show, George Lopez and The BET Awards.

In addition to her work with Prince, she is a familiar sight at the world’s most important music festivals, playing for thousands at Super Sonic in Tokyo, Good Vibrations in Sydney & the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. She is frequently called upon to spin for a bevy of corporate and celebrity clients.

Rashida has also crossed the globe touring with Grammy nominated artists Kelis, Cee-Lo and Pharrell Williams. Today she continues to tour and play for clients around the world , and hits the road this summer and fall as an opener for Bruno Mars 24k magic World tour .

Acclaimed not only for her deejay skills, but also as an cultural influencer, and fashionista, Rashida has been featured in Vogue Italia, Essence, Vibe, The Source, Flaunt, Remix, Dazed & Confused & Refinery 29 to name a few . Rashida has also made cameos in music videos like Prince’s Black Sweat and most recently Finesse by Bruno Mars.
