Sinking City Selects: DJ Brice Nice

sinking city

Local record label, Sinking City, books selectors for the lobby to cover a wide range of styles and feelings.

Through a deep love of noodle bowls and records, we decided that there was too much great music going unnoticed, both new and old. With roots firmly planted in New Orleans, and an interest in celebrating good music everywhere, we decided to do something about it. Voila a label is born. Sinking City Records is our attempt to showcase music that moves us in hopes that it moves you too.

DJ Brice Nice is a radio and club DJ, music historian and vinyl junkie. He hosts a weekly Block Party radio show on WWOZ New Orleans 90.7. He's rocked parties in just about every venue in New Orleans from House of Blues, Metro, Republic, Ampersand, down to regular gigs at the hole in the wall late night spots he prefers like Mimi's and The Saint. His taste is respected internationally and his musical versatility is unmatched in the Crescent City. From all 45 sets of New Orleans and Gulf Coast R&B, Soul, Garage, Funk, Disco, rocking all original 12" singles to digital DJing, he's not limited to any one genre and can rock crowds across demographic and geographic divides.
