Sound Observatory New Orleans (SONO) presents THE SHAPE OF JAZZ TO COME -- a monthly series dedicated to the presentation of jazz as it was intended -- a reflexive and ever evolving art form. New Compositions. Contemporary Ideas. Excellent and Exciting Musicianship. Adventure, Surprise and Romance.

This month, Nutria Trio releases "Call To The Air" on Breakfast for Dinner Records.

Formed in New Orleans, LA in 2014, Nutria is an instrumental trio that performs original compositions with an emphasis on collective improvisation. Named after the infamous South Louisiana swamp rat, their music explores jazz, chamber music, and traditional music of the African diaspora and Eastern Europe, while staying true to New Orleans jazz and groove traditions.

See the show and stay the night. Book a room with rate code Tricentennial for 15% off weekdays and 10% off weekends. While you're at it, sign up for the A-List for other special secrets.
