Una Mezcla is a Cuban inspired quarterly music series at Three Keys inside Ace Hotel New Orleans created by master drummer and Grammy Award winning bandleader Bill Summers, who is popular for his music with Herbie Hancock's Headhunters and Los Hombres Calientes with Irvin Mayfield, among many other sacred Yoruba and Caribbean rhythms. The Jazz Fest 2017 edition of Una Mezcla during Six of Saturns brings extra special treats with visiting artists direct from Santiago de Cuba, local New Orleans masters including Donald Harrison Jr., Alexey Marti, Weedie Brahma, Jamal Batiste, Michael Watson, Ashlin Parker, David Pulphus, Shea Pierre, Big Chief Shaka Zulu of the Yellow Pocahontas Mardi Gras Indians, Lila McClendon, Andrea Peoples  and percussionist for Stevie Wonder, Munyungo Jackson all in the big band.

This installment of Una Mezcla will also see some progressive, experimental, electronic re-imaginings of this Caribbean and Gulf South music via DJ, producer and musician Jneiro Jarel's new Microclimate project plus his Viberian Experience DJ collective.
